The re-release of the FWS XHTML layout generator is back on the site.   Click the link on the right to access the generator that can be used for non FWS sites or any other tableless XHTML 1.0 design.

FWS Version 2 has made significant process in the port to CPAN.   We are updating documentation and porting core libraries on a weekly basis.   This last release contains most all the core edit field functionality and most all the major admin core UI.   We are looking for about 4-5 more weeks and we should be close to a full release!

At that point we are excited to start our new distribution testing, and start campaigning for major ISPs to enable FWS::V2 as a default installed Perl library.    This will remove the need for the Web Optimized FWS 2.0 version and turn a 10 minute install into...  about 3 minutes, depending on how quick your typing skills are :)

Here's what the new install process will look like:

1. Set up your database.
2. Create your secure files, and public files directory.
3. Make your go.pl file executable with the proper database and directory settings.
4. Visit your install with a browser and start using it!

In the first steps to bring back the web based distribution method, we have now upgraded the FrameWorkSites.Com website to the version that can distribute the new core.    We will be working on getting the process back up and operational.
